Locals Live ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") and our website located at locals-live.com.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information to provide you with the best hyper-local live music and event discovery experience:
Account Information: Email address, display name, account password, location preferences, Venmo username (for performer tipping), and profile picture when you explicitly create an account.
User-Generated Content (UGC): Gig details, flyers, images, text, or classified descriptions that you deliberately upload or submit through the App's event submission features.
Location Data: To populate the interactive map with nearby live music events, venues, and performers, the App requests access to your device's precise or approximate GPS location. Location access occurs only while using the App and can be fully disabled at any time in your device's system settings.
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App, including your favorited venues, saved events, and map interaction history.
Device Information: Device hardware type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and IP addresses.
Analytics Data: We utilize Google Firebase Analytics to track aggregated, non-identifying user behavior to improve performance and stability.
2. How We Use Your Information
We process your data strictly to execute the core operations of the App, including to:
Render the local map UI and dynamically show gigs, karaoke, trivia, and bingo events within your selected radius.
Facilitate artist discovery and display external peer-to-peer tipping links (e.g., Venmo).
Provide support, push updates, and maintain application security.
Detect, prevent, and mitigate fraudulent activity or violations of our terms.
3. Third-Party Services
To deliver a functional full-stack native experience, we share necessary data fragments with the following trusted third parties:
Google Firebase: Used safely for user authentication, cloud database hosting, asset storage, and analytics tracking. Data handles are subject to Google's Privacy Terms: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Venmo: Used strictly for facilitating voluntary in-person performer tipping. Tipping transactions are handled directly through native Venmo links; we do not process, track, or handle your financial details. See Venmo's Privacy Policy: https://venmo.com/legal/us-privacy-policy/.
4. Data Sharing and Retention
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes under any circumstances. Data is only retained for as long as your account remains active or as required to populate active local event schedules.
5. Data Security
We implement secure industry-standard electronic safeguards via Firebase to protect your data handles against unauthorized access. However, no digital transmission or storage method is completely impenetrable.
6. Account Deletion and Your Choices (App Store Guideline 5.1.1)
How to Permanently Delete Your Account:
In full compliance with App Store requirements, you have the right to completely wipe your footprint from our servers at any time. You can initiate full account deletion in two ways:
In-App Deletion: Navigate directly to the App Settings/Profile menu inside the Locals Live mobile application and tap "Delete Account."
Web Request: You can submit an explicit deletion request directly by emailing our team at support@locals-live.com from your registered email address.
Upon initiating deletion, your account profile, authentication keys, favorites, and historical records will be permanently scrubbed from our active Firebase databases within 72 hours. Any associated live public user-generated event posts will be decoupled or deleted.
Additionally, you may choose to deny or revoke GPS location permissions via your iOS system settings at any moment without locking yourself out of basic web navigation.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is strictly intended for individuals who meet the legal age to enter local hospitality and music venues. We do not knowingly target or collect information from children under the age of 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy as our features evolve. Any significant policy changes will be highlighted directly inside the application shell or on our main domain layout.
